U-16 PROGRAM

Our U-16 program focus is on PLAYER DEVELOPMENT & FUN.  The age group is 15 and 16 year olds. 

The players will develope their skills in throwing, catching, hitting and pitching.  The players will also have the opportunity to play positions that they are best suited for. Coaches will try to rotate the girls in each position if they are able to play that position safely.  All the players bat during a game.  Equal playing opportunity is offered in this division. 

The U-16 division will start the beginning of April until the end of June.  They play on Monday and Wednesday nights from 6:00pm -7:30pm at Wiltse Field.  These are game nights so practices will be on other nights and on the weekends.  Teams can attend tournaments in the Okanagan or on the coast on the weekend, this is very exciting as you will get at least 4 games in and it is a great opportunity for the players to bond playing fastball. 

Penticton Fastpitch supplies for the uniform:  Hat, socks & Jersey(to be handed in at the end of the year), shorts to be purchased($20) by player through Penticton Fastpitch.

Equipment needed: Ball glove, batting helmet with cage & mouthgaurd.  Proper shoes( runners or cleats).

A year end tournament "DISTRICTS" takes place within the Okanagan for this age group and the winner of that goes to represent Penticton and our District #9 in Provincials.
